• Professional information: Years of experience, specialties, cosmetology or barber license number and state, prior employment history with Boardroom
• Portfolio materials: Photos, portfolio links, Instagram handle, resume
• Application data: Locations applied to, position applied for, application date, screening question responses
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information collected automatically when you use our application form

2. SMS Messaging Program

If you opt in to SMS communications during the application process, we will use your mobile phone number to send you:

• Application receipt confirmations
• Status updates about your application
• Interview scheduling requests and confirmations
• Reminders for scheduled interviews
• Post-interview follow-up messages
• Hiring decisions and next steps

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your application status. You may receive up to 5–10 messages per active application.

Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.

Opt-out: You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.

• Service providers who assist us in operating our recruitment system, including cloud hosting providers, communication services (including Twilio for SMS delivery), and applicant tracking technology providers — each bound by confidentiality obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing or recruiting purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain application data for the following periods:

• Active applicants: For the duration of the active hiring process plus 12 months
• Talent pool applicants: Up to 24 months from the date of application
• Hired applicants: Retained as part of your employee record per applicable employment law requirements
• SMS opt-out records: Retained indefinitely to honor your opt-out request

You may request deletion of your application data at any time by contacting us at recruiting@boardroomsalon.com. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our recruitment system uses encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, and secure cloud infrastructure.
